Whitney Plantation Visitor Center Exhibit
Exhibit & Interpretive Design
This project focused on translating complex historical research into an accessible public experience within one of the only museums dedicated exclusively to the history and lived experiences of enslaved people in the United States. Working in close collaboration with curatorial and research teams, I developed interpretive graphics and environmental elements that support visitor understanding of layered historical narratives, connecting individual stories and broader systems within the physical context of the site.
The work balances clarity, sensitivity, and historical accuracy, supporting engagement with difficult subject matter in a way that is direct, respectful, and grounded in lived experience.
